Namaste Newport is a Veteran Owned Business offering yoga to the greater Newport, NH region. Classes are held at the Newport Ballroom, 35 Main Street, Newport (above MJ Harrington Jewelers). Look for our sign!
Our classes are based from several different styles, all stemming from the Hatha tradition. That means we move with our breath. All levels are welcome to each class (including beginners), props are always available at the studio (free to use always!), and private sessions are available upon request (by donation).
Freedom from Struggle: A 2.5-hour Forrest Yoga Ceremony and Intensive
When: Saturday, October 28, 2017, 9-11:30am
The autumn and early winter holiday season can be stressful for many of us. Often we find ourselves struggling with relationships, with expectations, and with a striving toward perfectionism. By acknowledging our struggles, listening closely to our inner truths, and making choices from a place of grounding, we can shift our paths to more joyful ones. Join Deb Heimann, Upper Valley Forrest Yoga yogi and teacher, for this heart- and hip-opening yoga ceremony and intensive. We’ll call in the four directions, do a little group chanting to align ourselves with each other, and then travel deeply into hip and heart openers, strengthening and centering our connections to self, and end with meditative relaxation to enable us to walk off the mat grounded and ready for the energy of the upcoming holiday season.
Deb Heimann has a passion for connecting students to their authentic selves. Her focus is on building strength and tenacity through deep breathing, centering, and grounding in each asana. She teaches regular classes at her Howling Hound studio in Woodstock and at Upper Valley Yoga in White River Junction. See http://www.forrestyogawithdeb.com for more about Deb.
